Born in 1994, William GC Brown is a figurative painter based in London. His background in Psychology, and continuing interest in the mind, is a recurring influence in his work. Whilst earlier paintings deal with the topic of perception by piecing together multiple observations in painted collages, his recent work instinctively draws from a range of media sources and memories to present glimpses of narratives; almost like free association, the images produced are emotionally charged and open to interpretation. These images touch upon universal themes we associate with the human experience--ideas such as conflict, healing, solitude, and community.
